Brooklynn was the first friend I had when I was 7 and had just moved to Poulsbo. We met in the daycare at the gym (where I met most of my childhood best friends, it seems…), and then spent most of elementary school side by side. Our moms were both teachers, so we spent loads of time roaming around empty hallways or playing outside after school had gotten out. We were in the same class every year of elementary school, and on the same soccer team until we were in high school. But most importantly - unicycling. Brooklynn and I were unicycling PARTNERS, and we were very serious about it. You’ll have to scroll to the end for the proof.

Photographing Brooklynn’s wedding was an honor. Meeting her husband and his family and getting to see her parents and brother again was so special and full-circle. I love that I get to slot back into the lives of people who were so important to me for so long.
