I was supposed to be photographing Carolyn & Brian’s wedding in 2020, but we all know how that went.
Like most of my 2020 clients, we bumped their date to 2021. Like many of my 2020 clients, they decided they didn’t want to wait until 2021 to actually be married. Love that. Oh how awesome 2020 was for me because I finally got to really do something I have always felt called to - adventure elopements! When Carolyn mentioned that she and Brian were thinking of snowshoeing to their ceremony, I was all in.
The extra magic of it was that they had done the same trek as their first date, 5 years ago to the day! An important detail that I didn’t know until mid-snowshoe, and just love so much.
Ok so - Carolyn’s gorgeous skirt gathered so much snow on her way up that by the time she got to the frozen lake, I really honestly think she was carrying an extra 50lbs.
No really, her skirt full of snow was so heavy, we all had to try lifting it. That girl is a warrior!
The way all weddings should end? Thank you Carolyn, Brian, team, and dogs for having me along on this special adventure. See you in 2021!
